After installing NxGen Addons, the next step is activating your license. License activation enables automatic updates, unlocks premium widgets, and validates your subscription.
NxGen Addons licenses are managed through SureCart and can be accessed through your customer dashboard.
Step 1: Access the Customer Dashboard #
Navigate to:
You will see the login screen.
To access your account:
- Enter the email address used to purchase your license
- Choose one of the following options:
- Send a login code to your email
- Enter your password if you created one during purchase
If you select “Send a login code,” check your inbox and follow the secure login link.
Step 2: Navigate to Downloads #
Once logged in, you will see your account dashboard.
From the left-hand navigation menu:
- Click Downloads
- Locate your NxGen Addons purchase
- Click to view associated details
Inside this section, you will find your license key.
Step 3: Copy Your License Key #
Under License Keys, you will see:
- License status
- Activation count
- Associated domain(s)
- Your unique license key
Click Copy next to the license key.
You will paste this key into your WordPress site in the next step.
Step 4: Enter License Key in WordPress #
Return to your WordPress dashboard.
- Navigate to NxGen Addons → License
- Paste your copied license key into the License Key field
- Click Activate License
If successful, the license status will display as Active.
You may also see:
- Activation count (for example 1 / 5)
- Activation date
- Associated domain
Step 5: Confirm Activation #
Once activated:
- Automatic updates will be enabled
- Premium widgets will unlock (if applicable to your plan)
- License status will display as Active
If activation fails, review the troubleshooting section below.
Common License Issues #
License Not Activating #
Possible causes:
- Incorrect license key
- Subscription expired
- Activation limit reached
- Domain mismatch
- Staging domain conflict
If your activation limit is reached, return to the customer dashboard and remove an unused domain activation before retrying.
Activation Limit Reached #
If your plan allows 1, 5, or 25 sites, the dashboard will show how many are currently in use.
To free up a slot:
- Log into the customer dashboard
- Navigate to Downloads → License Keys
- Delete an existing activation
- Return to WordPress and activate again
Best Practice #
Only activate your license on live domains or staging environments you actively use. Remove old or unused domains to avoid hitting activation limits.
